Adjustable from 24mm to 42mm - designed for low threshold height projects on sloping surfaces
The Low-Profile 2442 self-levelling pedestal, with auto adjustment for slopes from 0° to 5°, is a specially designed support for use in areas where low threshold heights are encountered. Each support is composed of a threaded self-levelling head section, with a fixing flange with screw slot for attaching to the joist or beam. The head is wide enough to accept joists up to 3" (75mm) wide and is suitable for all common heights. For wider joists we recommend placing alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist.
An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without lifting or removing the joists thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. As standard each Low-Level 2442 pedestal comes complete with one 9mm extender ring (this can be fitted by lifting the head out of the base, inserting the ring and replacing the head).
The large 200mm (8”) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An optional 3mm thick anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base ring is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where decks are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.
2442LP pedestal supports are tested to withstand point loads of 800Kg at their maximum height adjustment. The normal spacing apart for the 2442LP-SL-DF is at 500 to 600mm centres for most projects, potentially saving up to 50% on units required for many projects when compared with other systems.
